How to keep your kids safe while you shop

Tips & Tricks

If you are ever concerned about the safety of your children when you visit the mall, there are a few things you can do to keep them as safe as possible during your visit.

This includes:

  1. Picking up a Kids First wristband from the Information Desk and filling in all the info our team will need to reunite you with your child if they should wander.
  2. Never leaving your child unaccompanied in your vehicle, no matter how short your errand might be.
  3. Carrying your child or keeping a firm hold on their hand when walking through the parking lot to ensure their safety from distracted drivers.
  4. Setting up an action plan before you leave home, so they know what to do if they get lost (ideally direct them to ask for help from the nearest store employee).

Children who are found unaccompanied or wandering in the mall are brought to Mall Management, where a competent adult takes care of them until their parents are found. Feel free to contact us if you require any further information in this regard.
